This exhibit highlights eight Fellowship Grantees and nine Emerging Artist Grantees from 2011 funded by Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council. The exhibit will take place at the Arts Center of Saint Peter, 315 Minnesota Avenue, January 11 to February 17, 2013. Funding for the artist grant programs and this exhibit is from the McKnight Foundation in Minneapolis. The Opening Reception will be Saturday, January 12, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
“We are pleased to use the Arts Center of Saint Peter,“ noted Brenda Byron, PLRAC Executive Director. “The arts center has two levels and can accommodate over 40 pieces of art work.”
Fellowship grantees from 2011 that will be featured in the exhibit are: Tom Barna, Eagle Lake-playwright; Debra Evans-Paige, LeSueur-porcelain jewelry; Amanda Gullixson, Eagle Lake-mixed media; Charlie Heymann, Winthrop-music; Stephen Mark, Springfield-mixed media; Nicole Roberts Hoiland, St. Peter-ceramic sculpture; Dave Ryan, Mankato-multi-media; and Janet Schultz, St. Peter-literature.
Emerging Artist grantees from 2011 that will be featured in the exhibit are: Sheila Becker, LeCenter-watercolor; Pat Branstad, St. James-photography; Leo Derkowski, Sleepy Eye-multi-media; Kay Helms, Mankato photography; James Ihrke, Madison Lake-music; Lorna Rafness, Mankato-literature; April Rao, St. Peter sculpture; Geraldine Tostenson, Mankato-plein air painting; and Jacob Zeiher, Mankato-ceramics.
