About the Arts Center and our space

The old Arts and Heritage Center before the tornado on March 29, 1998

The Arts Center of Saint Peter re-organized in 1999 from its parent organization the Arts and Heritage Council. With the loss of AHC's home in a historic school building in the March 1998 tornado, the Arts Center of Saint Peter opened its newly acquired and remodeled arts facility in June 2000. On Minnesota Avenue (Main Street), St. Peter, the Arts Center offers handicapped-accessible gallery space, performance space, arts group meeting and classroom areas.

Additionally, it is the home of a growing Clay Center, SPact ( St. Peter Area Children's Theatre), The Saint Peter Fiber Artists, Drawing Group, and the Heritage Carvers. For information on these groups please contact the Arts Center.
